View / Update / Delete Historical Candle Data

Summary: Access the candle data, add more candle data or delete the data.

About

Upon downloading candle data or importing candle data you can view, update or delete this data (update does not work for imported data).

Navigate to Options

To do any of the above you must first navigate to the candles view / update / delete page.

1. In the main menu choose Historical Data

2. Choose View / Update / Delete Downloaded Data

3. Choose the symbol you want to interact with

*** Upon choosing a symbol you will see the name, timeframe interval as well as start / end dates. You will also see the View / Update / Delete options below this.

*** Imported data will not have the update option

When viewing the historical candle data, the application will open the browser and show an interactive chart of the candles.

Update / Top Up

When updating candle data you can choose to get future or past data (as long as the data is available on binance)

In the example below you can see that the start date is 8/10/17 and we are requesting another year of data going back. We will end up downloading the difference of 8/17/16 to 8/17/17.

Topping up data is a a very fast and efficient way of getting the data difference of the end date to today. For example if you downloaded data from 1/1/22 to 1/1/23 and its currently 1/1/24 if you used top up it would automatically get the difference of 1/1/23 to NOW which would be 1/1/24

Delete

Deleting the data will remove all the candle data from the internal database and can no longer be accessed for strategies to run on.
